Beth, I only learned of john´s death today. I´m so sorry to hear of your loss and wish you and your family peace during this difficult time. Though John graduated DCHS two years before me, we shared many times together in the band. Many years later when we visited you in your new home, it was a special time, especially touring the hospital and wellness center of which he was justly proud. He will long be remembered for his many contributions to the community, his state and most importantly, his family.

John was a genuine hero to me and many others who tried to follow his example of principled leadership. He will be long remembered as one of Nebraska's finest torch bearers for the ag industry and NU.
