Joseph Mellecker Obituary
AURORA, Colo. - Joseph L. Mellecker, 62, of Watkins, Colo., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at the Medical Center of Aurora in Aurora, Colo.
Memorial services were Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Aurora with the Rev. Stephen Adams officiating.
Mr. Mellecker was born Jan. 5, 1941, to Anthony and Leona (Mog) Mellecker in Spearville, Kan. He graduated from Spearville High School in 1959. He received a degree in architecture from Kansas State University. He was a self-employed architect.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963.
He married Linda L. Blaser on Oct. 7. 1978, in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Nicole Mellecker, both of Watkins, Colo.; his mother of Dodge City, Kan.; four brothers, Al (Mary Ann) Mellecker of Mankato, Minn.; Bill (Marge) Mellecker of Phoenix, Ariz.; Dewight (Judy) Mellecker of Longmont, Colo., and Jim Mellecker of Dodge City, Kan.; and his in-laws, Carroll (Catherine) Blaser of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother Vonnie Elliott; and mother-in-law, Leona Blaser.
Condolences may be sent to the family at 2383 Haskell Way, Watkins, CO 80137.
