Michael L. "Mick" Clark, 63, of Columbus, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, in Columbus.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, at McKown Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Miksch officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at McKown Funeral Home, and will continue from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
Michael Clark was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Omaha, to Leonard and Marie (Casey) Clark. He grew up in Omaha until moving to Columbus in 1969. Mick married Tami Olk on Feb. 3, 1978, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Mick worked at Taco John's, D & L, and helped run Pole Maintenance Company operations in the Western United States for 20 plus years. Mick also ran a logging and land clearing operation for the Sawle Mill Company in Keya Paha County. He also cut and sold firewood and specialty hardwoods. Mick had a strong work ethic and was happiest helping other people
Mick loved hunting and firearms, going to the casino, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends.
Mick is survived by wife, Tami Clark of Columbus; mother, Marie Clark of Columbus; sister, Lanette (Don) Friesen of Grand Island; sister, Monica Lindstrom of Columbus; mother-in-law, Mary Olk of Columbus; brother-in-law, Mike (Holly) Olk of Columbus; many nieces and nephews.
Mick is preceded in death by father, Leonard Clark; brother, Lawrence Clark; brother, Leslie Clark; brother-in-law, Scott Lindstrom; close friends, Eric and Lauren Neibaur
