Susan Seadschlag of Columbus went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 12, 2024 at her home following a 4 year battle with cancer.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 14 at the Bible Baptist Church in Columbus with Pastor Robert Walker officiating. Visitation is on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Bible Baptist Church. Visitation continues on Wednesday from 1-2 pm at the Church. Interment is in Roselawn Cemetery.
Susan was born May 10, 1973 in Columbus to John and Lura Kay (Swiney) Walker. She attended Columbus Public Schools and went on to receive her teacher's certificate. At a young age Susan began playing the piano and served as the music director for the church for over 30 years. Susan was united in marriage to Charles Seadschlag on August 4, 1996 in Columbus. Susan raised her 4 children and loved helping with her 3 grandchildren. Along with her music, Susan loved her family, spending time and reading with her grandchildren, and photography.
Susan is survived by her husband, Charles, son Matthew (Josie), daughter Danica (Ryan) Gehring, son Nathan, and daughter Rachel; 3 grandchildren, Charity, Brooklyn, and Martin. Mother Lura Kay Walker, brothers, Kelvin (Rachel) Walker and Robert (Margaret) Walker; sister-in-law, Christine Walker.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Walker and her brother, David Walker.
