As an amateur boxer and Boxing Historian I remember Al Jones very well. During his career Jones fought bravely against the likes of Joe Frazier, Jerry Quarry, Ron Lyle, Earnie Shavers, Jimmy Young, Jimmy Ellis, James Tillis, Boone Kirkman and Tony Tucker. For many years, I often wondered what happened to Memphis Al Jones. Rest on brother.
