Sandy always had a positive outlook on life and it's possibilities. I always bonded with him as a kindred soul and will miss him.

Sandy was a pivotal mentor in my life and was a part of my best years of life living on my 42´ trawler Capt EZ. I first met Sandy trying to learn how to windsurf on a giant board on a windy day at Arkabutla reservoir in MS. He had told me how to sheer in and point for my first feeling of planing. Changed everything. He was the cog in the wheel of life that brought me where I am today.... We shared sailing 3 hurricanes, trips to the Columbia River Gorge and our local lake Arkabutla every storm front. He always greeted you with a warm welcoming smile and a razor wit, but was my mentor and in ways a savior of my soul..... I salute you in life and in death Sandy, may you have fair winds and following seas my friend......

Georgia and Carole... My heart is a little less bright since I learned of Sandy's passing. I had the joy and privilege of meeting Sandy and the two of you years back thanks to our good friend, Don Munro. The sincerity, integrity and depth of compassion with which Sandy lived was obvious to me even in just a handful or so adventures we shared on the boat(s). I am so grateful to have known him and so admired how- despite only a few trips on the boat together- he found a way to drive all the way from Memphis to Little Rock attend my Dad's service (a man he'd never met) back in 2013. The way he treated and entertained my young son and reached out to me and my family during that visitation was incredibly therapeutic and helped in our healing process and proved once again how he was able to interpret and anticipate others' needs even if they were folks he barely knew or perhaps didn't know at all. My thoughts and prayers hope that the fond memories with him bring you peace and some laughter as the days move forward. You are loved. I'm glad our skies have a new bright star amongst them.

Sandy was a True Friend! He always had a solution for almost any problem, and when he didn't have one, "He knew a guy". I was lucky enough to be one of those "guys" when it came to diesel engines and generators. It was such a pleasure to work with him. Fair Winds and Following Seas to Sandy and his Family!
