I am shocked and so sorry to hear of Anne Ross' passing. I am an Humphreys and the McGees were my mother's first cousins. Aunt MimMim (Mildred Humphreys McGee)had our wedding rehearsal dinner at her house in March 1958. I use to teach swimming at Burrell and Anne Ross' home in Greenville when my husband was in Vietnam. In later years she lived across from my step-mother, Carolyn Henderson, until Carolyn moved to assisted living a few years ago. It was great to be able to visit both when I was home.
We loved to talk of both Benjamin Grubb Humphreys'(Confederate General and Congressman) and gather information
on our famous kinfolk.
My condolences to all the family...she will be missed by all.
