During my grandfather's (Fred Hall)17 year battle with diabetes, Chandra was our pharmacist (along with her father, Dr. Champion). We came to love this family and appreciate them and their kindness towards us. Please accept our deepest sympathy at Chandra's passing -- may her bright smile light up heaven! Today is Tuesday, March 25, 2014, and I've just learned of Chaundra's homegoing. I am shocked! This beautiful young lady has been a friend to me for many years: She had become my personal pharmacist (after her father). Everytime I went to Champion's Pharmacy, Chaundra greeted me with a big smile and a warm welcome. She always made me feel as if I were the only patient in the world. Her parents were dear friends of my aunt, Mrs. Cloveice Exum and my father, Elder Curley Hamilton. How I hate that I missed her homegoing celebration! My sincere prayers and sympathy are with her parents and entire family. Only God can navigate us through a loss of this magnitude. I loved Chaundra as I do her sweet parents. She will be missed. May God grant the family the strength to carry on.

I've known the Champion family for over 30 years. One of my fondest memories of Chandra was when she allowed me to wear this beautiful green dress to my high school prom. It was just her way. A giving soul with a beautiful smile to greet you. To the Champion and Walker families, you are in our prayers. Chandra will be missed. She had the sweetest spirit and wanted to help anyone that walked in to Champions Pharmacy. The last time we had personal time was when Rev. Sullen passed away. She walked me outside, and we just stood out there talking of our younger days - she had me laughing so. Right before we departed each other, we hugged and said that we love each other. Chanda-Boo you will NEVER be forgotten - you were loved by sooooo many. I know Verne and June will welcome you and y'all will have a good time in heaven.
