To the Simon family
I was saddened to here about the demise of Emmit. He was an outstanding football player, coach, administrater lover of sports and a nice guy. I remember when I was a sophmore at TSU....reading the Pittsburg Courier sports page about Emmit making All America at Southern Univ. as a football player. I was overjoyed to learn that a Memphis football had made the All American Team ..this inspired me to become the football player that some say that I was.
He was someone very special~~~~
