I met Eric in July of 1988. I was just starting therapy school. I was from a small town in Mississippi, so Memphis was a big change. Eric helped make the adjustment a lot easier. We played and watched a lot of basketball together (UK). He also had me over for dinner on many occassions. What I learned from him during that time was invaluable. His knowledge and love for his work were examples for all. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you and your daughter. He was a good man who will be missed.

I first met Eric at Baptist Hospital Central as a radiation therapy student. I found him to be very passionate person in his commitment to his patients and to his work. Eric also had the ability to see potential in other people that they may not see in themself. I witness this my self when Eric saw the ability in me to become a Dosimetrist. I remember Eric hounding me daily to take the open Dosimetry position at Baptist. I finally took it and with Eric's expert guidance I was finally able to master this difficult field. Eric's commitment to do the absolute best for his patients has become a driving force in my own work. I can say that Eric's influence on me has truly changed my life. I know that GOD has a special place for Eric. My deepest sympathy goes out for Jennifer and Laurin. Eric was a FINE person and I know that he loved his family with all his heart.

I first came to know Eric when I joined Baptist East as one of the Medical Physicists headed by Atef Omari. Very quickly I came to know as a strong believer, a good dosimetrist and a good person. We had several good conversations about lot of things other than work. I once was invited to visit him at his residence. I met his wonderful wife and his loving daughter. I am much older than him and understand the pain that his immediate family will have to endure. I can only wish and pray that their family will find solace in remembering his qualities as someone's son, brother or husband and father. May God Bless you all with His Peace.

ERIC AND I WORKED TOGETHER FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS AT BAPTIST CENTRAL. I WAS A THERAPIST WHEN HE CAME AS A STUDENT.HE WAS A FINE YOUNG MAN.I WAS THERE WHEN HE HAD HIS FIRST KIDNEY TRANSPLANT,I ACTUALLY ANSWERED THE PHONE THAT MORNING HIS PARENT CALLED TO SAY THEY WERE HEADING TO THE HOSPITAL THEY HAD A MATCH.I'VE KEPT UP WITH HIS ILLNESS THROUGH MARGIE PENCE. I EVEN CALLED HER BACK A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN I WAS STAYING WITH MY MOTHER ON THE 3RD FLOOR AT BAPT. EAST BECAUSE THERE WAS A PATIENT NAME Arrant ON ONE OF THE DOORS,BUT INFORMATION SAID THEY HAD NO ERIC ARRANT.HE TOLD ME SOMETHING FUNNY ONEDAY,HE SAID SHERRY YOU ARE ALWAYS SO STRESSED YOU SHOULD TAKE UP RUNNING! ME, WELL MAYBE ISHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HIM CAUSE I'M STILL PRETTY STRESSED.I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR FAMILY IS IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU. IT WAS A GREAT HONOR TO KNOW HIM.

Jennifer and Lauren-
I worked with Eric as a student at BMH-Central. We kept in touch over the years until he left East. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you. Eric was a Great guy- very dry sense of humor. He will be missed.
