HILLMAN ROBBINS Obituary

Hillman ("Putter") Robbins III peacefully passed away on Good Friday. He was a lifelong Memphian, a friend to all who knew him and an accomplished amateur golfer. He won many tournaments and competed in multiple U.S. Amateurs. He later distinguished himself in the field of sales by earning numerous awards. He was peaceful in manner yet fearless. His humbleness serves as a model to all. Putter will always be with us! Be at peace for his passing, as it is assured that Putter is. He was preceded in death by his father, Hillman Robbins Jr., his mother, Janet King Robbins, and sister, Susie Robbins-West. He is survived by his brother, Rick Robbins. The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Windyke Country Club.

Putter was a great friend. One of my fondest golf memories was playing in the US Amatuer qualifier when Putt qualified and his dad wached all 36 holes. Great day for the Robbins. He will be missed.
