Went my first concert with Jeff: Grand Funk Railroad at the Midsouth Coliseum, 1970! He and I never understood how our mothers let us do that. But they did. Many great memories of Buchanan Peninsula and Pickwick Lake. I don´t see how Dr. Meadows tolerated us, I would have had a nervous breakdown! But he did. Jeff had some issues, but they caught up with him. I didn´t keep in touch like I should but I´m just not good at it (excuse). I moved away. Other sent me clippings of his exploits and his foibles, but kept on rockin´. I´m still here, cancer free, but miss Jeff´s crazy streak. Smart guy. Funny. Miss him- Chuck "Charles " Day.

Jeff, just found out today, the 18th, that you passed away. I'm stunned. I'm saddened. And I will never forget you, buddy. We have been friends for twenty years. You in Tenn, me in Texas. I'll miss talking to you about everything. I'll miss our jokes. You were so funny. You are with God now, enjoy your peace. I love you and I will see you again in heaven.

I worked with Dr. Meadows at Cordova Family Dentistry in the late 90's. He was the sweetest man and a great dentist. So sorry and such a shock to see him in the obits. I saw him not long ago in line at a fast food place in Lakeland and waved. Wish I'd stopped to talk now. Heavenly Father, lift him up!!

Went to my very first concert with Jeff: Grand Funk Railroad, in 1970! To this DAY I don't know how we convinced our parents to let us go, but we did! He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He loved the Vols and always hoped for a National championship. I suppose Peerless Price helped that happen. All love to his family and friends. I can't make the funeral as I should but my thoughts and prayers go out to all. Bummer, dude!
