MARGRET MCKEE Obituary

REV. MARGRET S. McKEE, 87, of Memphis passed away Thursday, November 6th at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett. Margaret was born June 14, 1927 to J. Howard Scott and Margaret Hazlett Scott in Knoxville, Tennessee. Surviving are her daughters, Marga McKee, Lila (Roger) Piercey; son, Scott (Weilin) McKee; grandchildren, Jordan (Hillary) Colley, Nicol Cabe, Jessie (Rebecca) Colley, Daphne McKee, and Angus McKee. Margaret was an English teacher and retired hospital chaplain. She enjoyed reading, the arts, her grandchildren, and life-long learning. She was a devoted Sunday school teacher, choir member, and parishioner of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Germantown. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 11th from 5 to 7 p.m. and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 12th at 11:30 a.m. both at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Germantown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Memphis Theological Seminary. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, devoted grandmother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed.

your mother and father were great teachers and role models to me as I was trying to sort things out in my younger days in halls tn. and poplar grove c.p. magaret was the best sunday school teacher a wild teenage boy could have had sent from God to my church. I thank God for her and your dad. Danny Ray Poplar Grove C. P. Church Halls TN. pity I never told them that but I believe they know now.
