Mike Geary Obituary
Memphis, TN
John "Mike" Geary, 74, passed away on June 6, 2018, in Memphis, Tennessee. Mike was preceded in death by his son, Adam Geary; and brother, Tom Geary. He is survived by his daughters, Ondine and Shantih; brothers, Emory, Paul, and Pete; sister, Trishie; and grandchildren, Holden, Kieran, Niamh and Paxton. Mike leaves behind an infamous red truck, a cat that his ex-wife is now stuck feeding, piles of books, empty cans of freon, a taxidermied frog riding a wooden motorcycle, a few nearly-complete novels, poetry, art, and a deep and resounding love of this world. The family invites donations in Mike's honor to WKNO-FM, the local NPR affiliate. Friends and family may attend Mike's celebration of life on Saturday, June 30 at 3 p.m. at Church on the River, 292 Virginia Avenue West, Memphis, Tennessee, 38103. End of orbit.
