Nancy A. Wilbanks

Southaven NANCY A. WILBANKS, 89, passed away Sunday March 4, 2007, at Baptist Hospital-DeSoto. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, with interment to follow at 1 p.m. in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Walnut, MS. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. Nancy was the oldest of six children born to the late Max and Jessie May Jones. She prided herself on being a homemaker and providing for her family. She was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Byhalia where she was active in many areas including being a Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Wilbanks, and her brother, Albert Jones. She is survived by her son, Joe D. Wilbanks, Sr. and his wife, Melba; two grandchildren, Joe D. Wilbanks, Jr. and his wife, Debbie and Christy Thornhill and her husband, Joey; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Heather, and Joseph; three sisters, Lucy Kephart, Elanor Kimery, and Maxine Wells; and her brother, Joe Jones.
