I met Paula in 1972 at the Union Mission where Mike and Steve Pearl were doing an evangelist outreach called The Scarlet Thread. I had become a Christian through this ministry and Paula and I went to some Christian outreaches together. I lost touch with her a few years later and thought of her periodically. I am sorry to hear of her passing but so very happy that she is with Jesus! She was such a beautiful person!!

Giving thanks for the life of Paula Haynes...she was a true blessing...we became friends when working at Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, TN and she faithfully sent out updates to friends during the two years that I worked in Central Asia...she was truly a beautiful person radiating the joy of Jesus in her life regardless of her circumstances. Thank you, Paula for your friendship, for loving God with your life, and for your joy! Looking forward to our eternal reunion!! Missing you...Jen

Paula was an inspiration to us all. My late husband used to pick her up and dance with her. I met her because of him. He was one of Elvis best friends and he loved Paula so much. She had wished that there were some pictures of them dancing and I recently found one. Im sure Richard is one of the first in line in Heaven to dance with our beautiful Paula. Paula wanted to meet our Triplets and I so hate that they never got a chance to meet her. She was concerned about others, more than herself. Ive never met anyone like her. We love you Paula and you will live on in all of us. Praying for her family and all of those that were touch by her beautiful soul.

Paula was just a beautiful person, inside and out. She lit up a room just by entering and all who met her became a friend. I've only seen her once since high school, but we were Facebook friends and managed to be in touch on occassion. Hard to believe she's gone. Her life will continue to be an inspiration for all. Our hearts go out to Mrs. Haynes and all of her family. Much love, Britt and Cheryl Meacham

It has been fifty years since I saw Paula, but like so many of us, I can still see that smile and hear her laughter from a wry sense of humor. She was a very special person who clearly impacted so many of us. Proud to have called her friend so many years ago. RIP dear Paula. You were one special lady!

One time when I carried Paula down the stairs between classes she thanked me and said,"In heaven I'll be able to walk like everybody else." She wasn't quite right about that, because today she walks among the angels and she walks taller than than anyone else.I would wager that she and Coach Haynes are are having a joyful reunion. The courage, love and kindness that Paula exhibited all her life lifted the spirits of countless people. My prayers are with you Mrs. Haynes and Freddy, but take heart.Paula lived a life of boundless Christian love and grace.Wow...what a legacy!

What an inspirational person Paula was. I am blessed to have known her. I grew up in the house next door to her and her family in Germantown. Even though we haven't spoken in a long time, I will miss reading her posts on Facebook.

Paula was a lovely lady. She always had a smile for everyone. We have known each other since we were little girls and lived down the street from each other on Moore Rd. Our class would never have had such great reunions without her hard work.

Growing up, I remember Paula saying in every testimony she gave, that one day shed be running down the streets of gold with no crutches or wheelchair. Im smiling as I picture her doing just that as she met her Savior! She made an impact on everyone she met... her life brought glory to the Lord. Praying for you , Mrs. Haynes and for Freddy. Love you both.
