We traveled a long journey through chemotherapy and radiation together. You beat the "Big C", (cancer)! At 86 years of age, God decided he needed you to be with him for some special reason besides being with your beloved wife, mother, father, brothers, sisters and friends. The moments we shared together for almost eight months will be forever remembered in my heart and mind. You would often ask me if you were an exceptional patient, and I would say,"Dad, you were the best patient in the world." You were also a very loving, kind, compassionate, strong, and the best father, who I will miss from this life and I hope to meet up with you again some day. I promised to take you to Florida with Rob, me, and Ms. Newhouse, but now I must also take you to the Punchbowl Cementary in Hawaii for the twenty-one gun salute as a Major in the USMC, and a Veteran of three wars , in which you so deserve. Your loving daughter and caretaker.

To Roxanne, Randy, Shannyn and Wilson,
Please know that John and I truly enjoyed every story that the Major told and what a pleasure it was to have known him. I was always amazed at his sharp memory. I know he will be truly missed. But what wonderful memories you will always have. Only time will heal. All our Love and God Bless and Keep you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was such a special person that served our country proudly. Everyday I look at his special artwork of stained glass that is on file cabinet. I am thinking of your family.

Major
was a person, that, i would, always, take my hat off, for. He was a teacher, of great values. he taught, me, to grow up, strong, honest, and never give up, on the values. I was Blessed, when he gave his daughter, Roxann, to me, in Marriage, 35 years ago. I never, understood, the struggles, he suffered, throughout, his lifetime. Raising, five very strong children, alone. I am so proud, to have had him, as my Father-n-law, and always, will be a "MAJOR", source for me, in my heart..
God Bless you Major, it is time to rest

Sadness and depression is not feelings my father would want his family and friends to know. He would like his Ray of Sunlight to fill your lives with happiness, peace and the love he shared with us.

Mrs. Margaret, Serena, Scott, and Dylan-

Our deepest condolonces on the loss of your dad/grandad. I only knew him for a little while, but he had a great sense of humor and was a very kind and caring man. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
