Sherry Metcalf Obituary
SHERRY ANN METCALF, 41, retired from the Airforce, of Memphis, passed July 13, 2006 at V. A. Hospital Center in Memphis. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 18 from 4-7 p.m. at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at New Liberty Apostolic Church, 5049 Corry Road. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Ms. Metcalf was a member of New Liberty Apostolic Church. She leaves a son, Jasiel Jerome Metcalf; father, Sam L. Metcalf; mother, Mozella Metcalf all of Memphis; grandmother, Ada Allen of North Carolina; two sisters, Sondra Wilson and Felicia Jackson both of Memphis; four brothers, Sam Earnest (Tina) of Seattle, WA, Ray Anthony Metcalf (Jackie) of Southaven, MS, Ronnie Metcalf of Las Vegas, NV and Tyrone Wilson of Memphis; two nieces; five nephews; host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. What a beautiful person Sherry was. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting and singing with her while stationed at Comiso Air Station in Sicily Italy. She had the most gentle and sweetest spirit. Although it was over 30 years ago, some of our colleagues have reconnected and it hurt to learn of her passing. I don't know what took her from us way too soon, but I'm sure the family has fond memories of her as do I. May the Lord keep her memory warm and tender in our hearts. Blessings to the family.

Sherry was such a beautiful friend. I met her at my first Air Force duty station in Sicily (Comiso Air Station). I lost touch, and I recently came to learn of her passing while researching online. Sherry I love you, and will miss you my friend!!!
