WILLIAM CREECH Obituary

Indiana, Palmyra - WILLIAM BRIGGS CREECH, JR., 78, formerly of Louisville, KY, had an unfortunate fall in his home, Friday, November 19, 2011, and he was taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where he later passed away on Saturday. Bill worked with Water Services, Inc. in Knoxville, TN. He was a graduate from the University of Virginia, class of 1955. He was also a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Creech of the home and her children, Ray Harris, Read Harris, Louise Allen, and Amy Sager; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his only daughter, Norwood Ford Creech Watkins (Henry “Tri” G. Watkins) of Lepanto, AR; his cousin, Helen Ashe Lupo of Columbia, SC. Bill also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Cara, Sandra, and Ted Williams and beloved grand-dogs. A Memorial Celebration will be held in Bill’s honor on Sunday, December 4 at 11 a.m. at Yew Dell Gardens, 6220 Old Lagrange Road, Crestwood, KY. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent to Frank C. Denzinger Lodge #171, INC Fraternal Order of Police, FOP Cops & Kids Fundraiser, P.O. Box 143, Georgetown, IN 47122 or because of Bill’s love of dogs, please feel free to make a donation in his honor to your local animal rescue group or Humane Society. Dad, I miss you. I am glad we talked when we did. I love you. good luck in your next form. wyatt is there, waiting for you. but remember, for a canine, he really likes the bourbon, as you know, so guard your drink, i'll leave the gate open and a fly rod out for you. there is also a reading chair and some cigarettes for you, should you be in need.
