William Earl "Bill" Pace Jr.

Brighton - WILLIAM EARL "Bill" PACE, JR., 69, owner of Memphis Pump & Mfg. Co., Inc. died March 12, 2008 at his home. Mr. Pace was a member of Munford First United Methodist Church, a graduate of Central High School Class of '56, attended Rhodes College (Southwestern University), Christian Brothers University, and Tennessee Technical University at Cookville, TN. He served on the Board of Calvary Rescue Mission in Memphis for many years, was a long time member of The Exchange Club of Memphis. He belonged over 50 years to the Boy Scouts of America attaining the rank of Life Scout and Admission in the Order of the Arrow (The Honor Society of Scouting) and wasassistant leader of Munford Troop 66. He held many leadership rolls with the Boy Scouts and was father of an Eagle Scout. Bill was the former owner of Charles Chips of Memphis and was a U. S. Army veteran. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 14 at Munford Funeral Home, Munford Chapel. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Munford First United Methodist Church. He leaves his wife of 20 years, Donna Parker Pace; daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" (Brian) Pace Humphries of Memphis, TN; sons, Adam Pace of Brighton, TN, Ben Brumfield of Atlanta, GA; sister, Mary Jane Strong of Carrolton, TX; brother, Samuel L. (Judy) Pace of Millington, TN; numerous nieces and nephews.
