Abigail Minzner Obituary

Abby (Renkert) Minzner passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at the home she shared with her loving husband, Jonathan Minzner, at the age of 43.

Abby was a lover of nature and animals, and each season brought about a new hobby of hers. Regardless of the time of year she was always found outside whether in her gardens, tubing on the lake, hiking, scouting game, fishing, ice fishing, riding her motorcycle and ATV or skiing.

Abby graduated from Merrimack Valley High School in 1993 and later went on to complete the Surgical Technologist program offered through Concord Hospital in 1998. After a few years at LRGH and Dartmouth Hospital she found her home at Concord Hospital yet again in 2002, first in the Main OR and then settling in with the Day Surgery Department. Abby was outstanding in her field and furthered her knowledge in her area as often as she could. She was a true team member and will be missed amongst her peers.

Abby leaves behind her husband, Jonathan Minzner; her parents, Joseph and Virginia Denoncourt; her brother, Fritz and Anna Renkert; her sister, Heidi and Conor Ketchum; her brother, Andrew and Emily Renkert; her brother-in-law, Kendrick Minzner; her nephews, Noah and Andrew and nieces, Elexa, Chloe, Paige, Kristen, Arden, Quinn, Lily and Reece. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Renkert in 2011.

A service will be held in honor of Abby Saturday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at 36 Babbit Road, Franklin.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to NAMI NH.

I had the pleasure of working with Abby in the OR and Day Surgery at Concord Hospital. When walking down the hall she always said "Hi" to me and smiled. She told great stories about her times fishing and 4 wheeling. She talked about her great times with her sister's children-going to games and enjoying spending time with them. My condolences to her husband and the whole family. Rest in peace Abby, miss you.

Abby I was very fortunate to have known you. Reading all the things people said about you is all so true. You had a great laugh and smile. You were cared about more than you know. I think of you often and I will always cherish the memories from our ice fishing trips together and our breakroom chats about your fishing, 4 wheeling and boating adventures. It was great to know you. Your thought of often by many. Love Wayne

I had the pleasure of working with Abby for many years. I will most miss sharing stories of being out in nature and also of fishing. She was an excellent Surgical Tech who taught and shared her knowledge with others. I hope her family can find peace in knowing that Abby touched many lives.

Abby. . . Since the day I found out about your passing, not a day goes by that a thought of you crosses my mind. I have had the joy of working with you and have gotten to know what a special person you were. Talented, smart, witty, and funny to name a few of your traits. I was always happy and laughing when I worked with you. I believe that you were loved and appreciated more than you will ever know. It is not hard to accept your passing but it helps to think that you are now at peace and with your sister again. My thoughts and prayers go out to your husband and your family as they grieve the loss of you. Love you Abby. . .

So sorry for your loss. Abby had a great sense of humor and infectious laughter. Although we didn't work directly together often, we would have a laugh in passing whenever I saw her. She was an awesome tech! My heart goes out to you and your family, John.
