Angelyn D'Ambruoso Obituary

Angelyn M. D'Ambruoso

Hopkinton, NH - Angelyn D'Ambruoso died peacefully on June 25th, surrounded by her children - Kristen Scappaticci and her husband Mike, Mark D'Ambruoso and his wife Tami, and Lisa Demers and her husband Joe - and her six adored grandchildren. Known to most as Ann, she was a woman whose warmth, kindness, and steady love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Throughout her life, Ann was someone you could count on. She listened without judgment, nurtured those around her, and brought a quiet strength to her family and friends. She cared for her husband Dom in his later years during his illness, showing a devotion expressed more through daily acts than through words. She and Dom spent over 5 glorious decades together, raising their family and building a loving home that extended beyond walls.

Though she settled in New Hampshire, Ann never lost her bond with her home state of Rhode Island, especially its beaches, which brought her peace and joy. She is survived by her brothers, Donald and Christopher Horn, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were an important part of her life. Ann and Dom loved the community they found in New Hampshire and the opportunities it offered for new experiences. Wherever she lived, Ann built lasting friendships and kept those connections strong across years and miles.

Ann anchored any room she was in, though she never sought the spotlight. People turned to her for advice, for comfort, or simply to feel understood. Her time as a nurse, mother, and teacher reflected her genuine care for others and her belief in helping people grow. People will remember her for so many things: her love of running, her vibrant energy, her garden full of blooms, her talent for sewing and baking, her energy for curling and bocce, and, above all, her positivity and resilience.

There will be no immediate religious services, but her family will plan a celebration of life at a later date.

Ann will be deeply missed, but her love lives on in her family, her friends, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

My best best thoughts to the family. Her late husband Dom was a friend whom I regularly caught up with on New Year's Day in Mt Moosilauke.

Lisa and family, I´m so sorry for your loss. My condolences. I first met Angelyn at NHOH. She was a wonderful woman! I´m going to miss her, her laugh and listening to her talk about hockey.

So glad that Ann and I were companions on a recent trip to Quebec (May 2025).
