Barbara J. (Smith) McCaffrey

Concord, NH - Barbara J. (Smith) McCaffrey, died peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the age of 97, after a period of declining health. She was born in Concord, the daughter of James E. and Dorothy G. (Beckett) Smith and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from St. John High School and was a member of St. Peter's Church and Christ the King Parish in Concord. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts and collecting antiques.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Thomas McCaffrey, her son Michael McCaffrey and her sisters, Elizabeth Smith, Mary (Smith) Wood and Jane (Smith) Pineo.

She is survived by nieces, Mary E. Walker and her husband Craig of Concord, Anne Wood-Wilber and her husband Michael of Marlborough and Ellen Rosewood of Connecticut, and many great nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will not be held.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel of the Water's Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord, on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2pm.

Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
