Bruce Bailey Obituary

Bruce W Bailey

Hooksett, NH — Bruce Webster Bailey, 62, a native of Bow, crossed the Great River Sunday, March 6, 2022 while in respite at his sister's home, after a noble fight with cancer.

Throughout his hard-working life he mastered many skills including carpentry, painter, electrician, plumber and bicycle repair, among others. As the Commander of the Sons of the American Legion his activities to honor and support our veterans included flag placement, wellness checks, Legion Baseball and special events.

He is predeceased by his parents Horace and Jean, stepmom Anna and sister Melissa. Bruce provided care to each of them when they were in need. He is also predeceased by his brother-in-law Dennis Murphy and step-brother "Buddy" Aste. Bruce will be very missed by his brother Scott and wife Pati, brother Matt and wife Michelle, compassionate sister Anne Bailey-Murphy, Aunt Betsy Hatch in Texas and fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and aunts along with numerous friends. He will be missed most by longtime lady friends Laurie and Michelle of Post 21.

A celebration of life will be will be planned in the months ahead. Bruce would urge you to 'pay it forward' to our Veterans and others whenever possible. Please consider a donation in his remembrance to the American Cancer Society or the Pope Memorial SPCA .

As I think back and the memories I have of my Uncle. I remember our kids days of hide and go seek, I always wanted to keep up with him so badly, He is the closest in age to me... He put up with the tag a long and learned how to escape me as well. My pink sewing machine will live in my memory forever as I drove you nuts with it and you taped it up to stop the noise... Later in life I was your tag along to family stuff and when I moved away I always had to see you when I came home for a visit no matter how quick or long I stayed in town. I will still continue to visit the Legion as a proud niece and a Bailey. I miss you more than I can put to words. I love you..

Dearest Bailey family, as being next door neighbors with your all. I have so many remembrances of Bruce. He was a kind soul but a rascal as well. Never knew what he was up to but always made us laugh. He always was willing to help others and loved animals and my mothers cooking. He was always at our home with my brother. Thanks for the memories Bruce and GOD bless you and keep you at peace.

Scott, Anne, & Matt,

I remember Bruce on the Bog Rd. in Bow growing up.
He was the cutest little toe head ever. You should be very proud of all his accomplishments. Cancer as you know is mean and relentless. Just stay strong for each other and be sure that Bruce's legacy live's on.

Old friend and neighbor from long ago,

God Bless,

Tim Morgan
