Charles Druke Obituary
Charlie was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Newfane, Vt. He graduated from St. Michael's College in Burlington, Vt., and flew fighters for the "Green Mountain Boys" in the Vermont Air National Guard. His greatest loves were flying, family and freedom.
He settled in N.H. in 1969 and participated locally in Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol (cadet, and senior squadrons; International Air Cadet Exchange program) and the Henniker Flying Club. He retired, as a pilot, from the military (U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard) and American Airlines.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Josef and Gertrude Druke. He was the youngest of 13 siblings. Charles is survived by five children, Erica Druke of Concord; Monica Small of Hampden, Maine; Charles Druke Jr. of Concord; Jennifer Rabalais of Bow; and Nancy Druke of Canterbury, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord, on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ The King Parish/St. John's, 72 S. Main St. Concord, on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 11:30 a.m. with full military honors. Fly-overs welcome.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of one's choice.
