What a great guy! Such a character, too! I knew him when I worked at DHMC. He was always cheerful and full of stories. Always appreciative! Actually made us homemade cards to say "Thanks". I remember he and his wonderful wife inviting my girlfriend, her daughter, her friend, and I out to his home where he showed us his awesome train collection and village and then took us all out on his pontoon boat for a tour of the pond! What a memorable day! The Lord bless this man and his wife and family. Sad to see that he´s gone but glad God gave us the opportunity to have known him. I´m sure he caught the first train out on his way to meet his maker! Rest In Peace, Charles Dunbar.

To Brenda and the boys- we will all miss Charlie so much. We first met while working together at the Contoocook Depot restoration a decade ago. Charlie brought so much knowledge, wisdom and fun to the organization- not to mention a great model railroad layout! Always quick with a good story- Charlie brightened all of our lives.
Now he is the conductor on the eternal train in the sky! Rest in peace Charlie.

We first met Charlie almost 5 years ago when we bought our cottage on Jenness Pond. We were moving in and heard a knock on the door and there was Charlie welcoming us to the pond! He was always quick with great advise on whatever project we were undertaking and in the winter on their walks always checked on our cottage for us. He and Brenda became wonderful neighbors and friends . We so enjoyed Charlie´s sense of humor . We could almost set our watches daily by watching Charlie and Brenda take off on their cruise around the pond. We enjoyed the several times we were out on the boat with them. Charlie knew everything about Jenness Pond and was always a great "tour guide". We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brenda and her sons as they mourn.

It is difficult to put I to words the emptiness one feels with the loss of a loved one. Charlie enjoyed bringing humor to our lives and loved to make us laugh. I always enjoyed our visits and am thankful to have gotten so close to him and Brenda over the years.
We are truly sorry for your loss.
Much Love,
Cynthia & Richard Cech
