I am saddened to learn of Dave's passing. We were sworn in to CPD together in 1967. Though I was older, both being Navy vets, we were fast friends and spent time together off the job. Dave was a mischievous man with a great sense of humor, and one had to be alert to what he was up to next. Though I moved on from CPD, we remained friends and continued to prank one another. Dave served his country and his community honorably. He was a good Cop. I will keep Dave and his family in my prayers. "Sailor, Rest Your Oar...."

I loved hearing stories about Dave. Before I met him I was told he used to wear a red hunting jacket on midnights as a patrolman, that he was the bomb guy for CPD, and he wore several knives hidden on his uniform. I was a bit wary of him. When I finally met him I found him to be warm, friendly, with a great sense of humor. He will be missed. I'm not sure of how many of the stories are true, but I hope they were. RIP.

I feel very lucky to have visited with Dave several times at the nursing home. My brother in law was there and my wife noticed his name on one of the rooms. We both were surprised and had praise for one another. Dave and I worked at the court for a lot of years and had a great friendship during that time. He would invite me to his house for supper and I invited him. For a while we'd find a good restaurant and buffets. He said we were the Buffet Kings, :) Time spent with Dave never lasted long enough. Goodnight David, your time on earth was fun and full.

First met Dave when we rented an apartment from him during law school. Always a cordial, professional guy with a riotous sense of humor bubbling close to the surface. He'll be missed by many.

I will never forget the man for his kindness and generosity to my family. I met David when I was 11 years old. He was still in High School where he dated, and after serving in Vietnam, married my sister. While they moved to NH, I, my parents, and my younger brother, moved to Virginia. When my younger brother had problems and could no longer stay in Virginia, David offered to take him in to live with his family. David did his best to guide my little brother and brought him hunting and fishing and taught him many things. When my parents divorced, David also invited me and my mother to live with him. Although he and my sister had a rather small apartment, and three children of their own, he opened his house to us without ever asking for anything in return. I share this story to attest to the type of man David was. I have always appreciated his sacrifice and will always be grateful. Thank you David. You will be missed. Rest In Peace. You deserve it. I would also like to offer my deepest sympathy to his family.

I first met David when I was 11 years old. He was still in High School and dated, then married my sister. There was nothing David wouldn´t do for family. After serving in Vietnam he and my sister moved to NH, while my I, my parents, and younger brother moved to Virginia. When my younger brother had problems and couldn´t stay in Virginia, David took him in and did his best to guide him. When my parents divorced, he also invited my mom and I to live with them. Although he and my sister had a small apartment and three children of their own, he made room for three extra in laws. I have always appreciated that gesture and will always remember him for his selflessness during my family´s time of need. Thank you David! You will be missed. Rest In Peace. You deserve it.

Sorry to read about the passing of David. I first met David when he had the midnight to 8 shift in Penacook. As an 18 year old I got to respect David and remember those Friday and Sat nights where he would find the time to talk with us. Still remember asking if I wanted to hop in the cruiser and make his rounds
I will never forget that summer

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. During tough times, it is sometimes laughter or a smile that help us get through. Dave was one of those people that was larger than life...both in his actions and his laughter. I still share stories of some of his "antics" that I will always carry with me as some of the funniest and best times of my life.
I worked with Dave for 6 years in Concord and then I moved to Wyoming for a few years. One night in 1992, out of the blue, my phone rang around 11:30 pm...and when I answered Dave was on the other end of the line with the statement " where do you live, I am traveling through, and I need a bed!" I was like "who is this?" and then he laughed!! "It's Thibodeau!!"
I drove across town and brought him back to the house where we stayed up all night and laughed and laughed until he left for Montana several hours later.
That was typical Dave, and a fond memory I will always cherish.
Thank you Dave...Happy Trails and RIP. Again, my thoughts to the family during this difficult time.
