Deborah Andrews Obituary

Deborah J Andrews

Webster, NH - Deborah Judith Andrews, 54, died Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, in her home after a five-year battle with breast cancer with her sister, Stacia, friend Mark Pease, and dog, Duelly by her side.

Deb as born in Franklin, NH, daughter of Bruce Andrews and Carolyn (Higgins) Normandin who both predeceased her.

Deb worked hard for everything she had, starting with putting herself though barbering school, graduating from the New England School of Barbering. She owned and operated Larry's Barbershop in Boscawen for nearly 20 years. In addition to her shop, she worked in the Veteran's Home in Tilton, because she believed that giving the veteran's a haircut improved their day. Many of her customers were elderly, often when they could no longer come to her, she went to them to cut their hair, and often bring meals, grocery shop, or whatever they might need.

Deb kept a library in her shop and read extensively, mostly American history, but loved craftsman ship, art, and fishing in her river, her motorcycle and Jeep.

She was a proud aunt to Owen and Wyatt Connor who survive her. In addition she is survived by her sister Stacia LaPan (Bill), her aunt Jane Ladd.

There will be an opportunity to celebrate her kindness on November 29th at the Grange Hall in Webster, NH from 12 to 2 pm. Deb was always kind to those who might be forgotten. If desired, buy lunch for someone who looks hungry.

Never met Debra, wanted her family to know even in her hardest days she did an act of kindness for a complete stranger. When she closed her shop she returned her customers calls and referred them to my shop. We´ve never met however I have the greatest appreciation.
My condolences to her family.

What a wonderful person. Deb always tried to be a positive influence and help needy folks in any way she could. I miss her and our "philosophical" discussions. Thanks for everything, Deb.

All of us on Frost Lane will miss Deb, and Duelly, on their walks thru the neighborhood. Our dog Reggae was very fond of both of them and considered Deb the 'Cookie Lady' who hardly ever didn't have dog treats in her pockets.

I'm very greatful that Deb wanted me to work at Larry's Barbershop, it was my dream to have a Barberpole. I met some fabulous people at Larry's Barbershop, for that I am greatful to have met back up with Debbie.
I remember trying to talk her into going to Barber School, also Deb would come to my place and watch me cut hair. As soon as she got her license I gave up the Veterans Home told her it was her turn, a job she took on a kept for years.
To her family and friends my Condolences.
