Ellen Scriven

Bow, NH — Bow, NH — Ellen Jane Scriven, "Gagi", of Bow passed away peacefully in her home on June 14th. She was born in Malden MA on July 26, 1932, daughter of Isabelle and Arthur Bowie.

Ellen was a caretaker at Normandy House in Melrose MA in her younger years and was also a nanny for families in the Stoneham MA area. She and her husband John taught country dancing and participated in many competitions. Ellen loved music, dancing, animals, and spending time with her family.

Ellen was predeceased by her husband John, and her three children Linda, Kenneth and Stephanie. She is survived by her sister Audrey Secino of VA, her granddaughter Carrie Batcheller and her partner and (Ellen's) caretaker Artemis (of Bow NH) and granddaughter Colleen Hamilton (of Fort Wayne IN). She is also survived by her great granddaughters Stephanie, Abigail, Emma, great grandson Luke, and special friend Emily.

There will be no services, per Ellen's wishes. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the Animal Rescue League in Bedford, NH.
