Euvona Tumbleson Obituary

Euvona J. Tumbleson Euvona J. "Von" Tumbleson, 70, a retired teacher's aide, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, in Tallahassee, Fla. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. EDT Friday, Sept. 19, at Abbey-Riposta Funeral Home Chapel (850-562-1518), with the Rev. Doyle Bell, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Tallahassee Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice. Mrs. Tumbleson was a native of Eufaula, Okla., was raised in Humnoke, Ark., and moved to Tallahassee from Stuttgart, Ark., 13 years ago. She was a member of Rose Chapel Baptist Church in Humnoke. She retired in May after 13 years as a teacher's aide at the Woodville School, working with ESE and pre-K children. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Dillard Tumbleson; three sons, Gene, Bruce and Rod Tumbleson, all of Woodville, Fla.; two brothers, Gary (La Vada) Blankenship and Roger Blankenship, both of Woodville; two sisters, Lois (John) Sullenberger of Tallahassee and Sandra (Kenneth) Morgan of Crawfordville; and three grandchildren, Heather, Allan and Charity Tumbleson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Jeanette Blankenship; a brother, Don Blankenship; and a sister, Clara Hough. Von was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and was loved by all who knew her.
