I first met Harte in the summer of 2005 when I was a candidate for CEO at Kendal at Hanover. Harte chaired the search committee. I knew from the moment I met him that I wanted the job. Harte was engaging, warm, and a true gentleman. We became friends very quickly and have maintained our friendship since I retired. He and Ann have always meant so much to me. The Upper Valley and Kendal have lost a truly great man and I have lost a very special person in my life. My love to Ann and their family.
