Ingrid Dinter Obituary

Ingrid Maria Dinter

Hopkinton, NH - Ingrid Maria Dinter of Hopkinton, NH passed away peacefully at the age of 58 in her home, surrounded by her family on February 20, 2024, after a 20-year-long battle with cancer. As the daughter of a POW, Ingrid devoted her life to the care and support of others and found her greatest fulfillment in helping traumatized combat veterans find peace in life after service. She was a certified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Master Trainer and accredited in a number of additional techniques in the holistic healing and energy psychology field.

She also travelled the country as a professional speaker and co-authored the book EFT for PTSD, as well as peer reviewed research studies about EFT for war trauma in veterans and was an internationally renowned stress release expert. She volunteered as a team leader for the New Hampshire Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team (DBHRT) and as communications director for AAMET International.

An immigrant from Germany, Ingrid loved the natural beauty of her new home in New Hampshire and could often be seen on or by its rivers, lakes, and the ocean. She enjoyed spinning her own wool and knitting with a close circle of friends and was a devoted member of the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, NH.

Ingrid will be dearly missed by her husband Jens and daughter Leah, her mother Helene, her siblings Mara and Jochen, her larger family in Germany, and friends and colleagues worldwide.

A memorial service will be held on March 9th at 2PM in the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, 1548 Hopkinton Road, Hopkinton, New Hampshire 03229.

I didn't know Ingrid but I knew her work. Her EFT tapping videos on youtube brought me so much help and comfort - such a bright, beautiful, glowing, generosity flowed out of her - so wholesome. My heart goes out and deepest condolences to her beloveds and to all who loved her and will always love her. Feeling the loss. I had wondered what she'd been up to these past couple of years and did a search... and ended up here to pay tribute to her beautiful soul and her life's work that helped so many people and still helps us today.

So sad to learn of Ingrid´s passing. We were long time fellow members of ACEP (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology), New Hampshire residents, and volunteers with the state´s Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team. She was such a blessing to so many people. She will be missed.
