Jeanne Daniel Obituary
Born on March 12, 1954, to parents, Dr. Allan Trevaskis and Mrs. Margaret Trevaskis and sister to local musician Reid Trevaskis, grew up in Allentown, Pa. and spent the summers in Lake George, N.Y. She attended William Allen High School and graduated with honors from Penn State University in 1979.
Jeanne has been a member of the Henniker community since the summer of '79 when she became the first speech therapist employed by SAU 24, serving the special needs of many children in Henniker, Hillsborough and Washington school districts. She met her husband Rick the same year and has been happily married for 32 years. Jeanne also spent many years on the Board of White Birch Community Center, while actively involved in the many pursuits of her children and family including but not limited to the Henniker Youth Athletics and the John Stark Theatre Department. Together, Jeanne and Rick operated Cabin Fever Video and several other businesses. Jeanne for many years volunteered at the Nurse's office in the Henniker Community School and later returned to as the 5/6 grade special education teacher, a position she described as her best job ever.
There will be a party celebrating her life on Saturday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at Daniel's Restaurant.
In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her honor to one of the following charities that Jeanne cared for and has been a lifelong contributor; The Jimmy Fund Clinic, Ronald McDonald House, Planned Parenthood or provide Christmas for a local Henniker Community School student.

Dear Jeanne. I just heard of your passing a short while ago and I wanted to leave you a note. I suppose it was in 7th or 8th grade, at Trexler Jr Hs that we first met each other. I knew you as a friend and classmate, and after we graduated from William Allen, all of us went our thousand separate ways and our paths in life never crossed again. From what I have read here, you made a difference, a good difference in many people's lives and that made me smile reading it. I am also sure you were a good companion to your husband and a fine mother as well. I know also you had a happy life, with many more good days than bad ones. Take Care....

I only just learned this week of Jeanne's passing and was truly saddened for your loss. I consider her one of the most kind and giving people I've ever had the pleasure to know and work with. I am very saddened to hear of Jeanne's passing. I loved seeing the two of you out walking...having known you both before you met. It always brightened my day to see how much in love you grew.

Rick, Kirsten and Ben; Our hearts go out to you during this time. Since you are celebrating Jeanne's life tomorrow, I celebrated with some of my students today. We had our 'campfire' bucket, turned out the lights and read campfire stories by headlamp. This was one of Jeanne's favorite activities to do with her students. I will never forget her infectious laugh, how she loved her family & community and her sense of style. No one can rock a denim jacket, scarf or Cons (together or separate) like Jeanne.

I worked with Jeanne years ago at Hillsboro Elementary. Our rooms were next to each other and since I was the sp ed teacher and she was the Sp and Lag. we shared many children, meetings and stories of our families. I remember when she met Rick and how excited she was. Many people pass through our lives, but Jeanne was one I never forgot. Her smile, laugh and love of people shone through each day. I'm truly sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful woman.

I'll never forget when Jeannie came into Rick's life. He wasn't hanging out with us in the park anymore playing music. He was always with "that school teacher". I'll miss you, school teacher. So will my David. He kept hoping you'd come back to class.

I knew Jeanne when I was teaching at HCS. As a new special ed. teacher, she guided me through several difficult situations, and I learned so much from her. I am so saddened by her loss and hope that the peace of God will comfort you in your sorrow. My prayers are with you as you face the future without her. I have such happy memories of working with Jeanne. She would do anything for the children she taught. She was always happy, hard working, and full of great stories! Spent a year after retiring in Jeanne's special ed classroom doing Title 1. I felt blessed to be there. She had such a wonderful way with children who needed an advocate. So sorry for your loss, Ben, Kristen and Rick.

Jeanne was one of those rare souls who could touch people with a smile and a word of kindness. She was passionate and filled with life, and that trait, I know, has been passed along to Kirstin and Ben. I am sad that we are away, and not able to be there for Saturday's celebration but we know that there is MUCH to celebrate. The photograph in my mind, the one that will stay with me forever, is when she was setting up her first classroom across the hall from mine, and she was so excited and happy to have that particular job. I loved talking with her that year and laughing and sharing our educational philosophies. Rick, Kirstin, and Ben, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
