Joe and I were roommate and friends at UNH and we hung out together after graduation. Once and awhile after a couple beers we'd discussed our loves lost. I knew that hecared much for Kate. When I heard they had gotten back together, and their mutual support during difficult times. It was a real Cinderella story. Now this prince and my fried is gone. I'll miss him

When Joe married our good friend Kate, he became part of the International House (UNH) family. In addition to his devotion to Kate, we appreciated how he nurtured her love for painting, writing, and piano. Joe and Kate were models of mutual support and encouragement. Joe will surely continue to be Kate's muse.
He was very good man -- a gentleman in all respects -- with a fine sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

He could always make me laugh even when I was in a dark place. He was certainly one of the very best male friends I have ever had or ever will have. I will miss him always. He knew how to be a real, "forever" friend. I miss you Joey!

I am saddened to learn of Joe's passing. We grew up in the same neighborhood in Lowell and played ball at Shedd Park. I was fortunate to reconnect with Joe a couple of times in Henniker, some years back, partaking of a pint, or two. He was a man of high intellect and good humor. My condolences to Joe's family. He is in my prayers, as are you all.

Joseph was the best man at my wedding and a fabulous "Dutch Uncle" to my kids. The quiet strength and kindness that he selflessly gave to others was unique and honorable. You will be missed my dear friend. You will be carried with us always

Joe was one-of-a-kind and a long-time friend who loved to laugh, share a pint and tell the wickedest stories! We shared so many good times with our group of friends in Henniker at The Pub, on his porch and around town. A real loss to all of those who knew him. Peace and love to you Joseph. And to Kate, his adored wife.

As so many have said, friendly & smiling Joe was quick to laugh & share a joke & a spirited sport on the Pub dance floor or skating on Day Pond, it was all we could do to keep up with Joe. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to work with him at the NEC library. RIP, dear Joe.
