Laurie Warriner Obituary

Laurie MacLean Warriner

Concord, NH - Laurie MacLean Warriner of Concord, NH passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the age of 62 after a valiant fight against metastatic breast cancer. Laurie was known for her radiant smile, her vibrant laugh, her quick wit, and infectious sense of humor. The daughter of Blair (Bamford) and Larry MacLean, she grew up in the South End where she enjoyed listening to Carole King on her record player and biking around town. She was a straight A student, the lead majorette at Concord High School, and the best water skier on Lake Massasecum.

Laurie proudly served as Vice President and Year Book Director of MacLean-Stevens Studios, a school portrait and photography business owned by her parents that became the largest family-owned business of its kind in New England. Most recently, she worked at the Paper Store in Concord where she took delight in serving her regular customers. In both roles, she built deep friendships with her colleagues that she cherished.

In 1990, she met the love of her life, Wade Warriner. She would often joke that from the moment she walked through the door at his home, she never left. Their love was unwavering, filled with laughter, and a healing force for both of them. They married in 1992 and welcomed their daughter, Christina in 1994. Christina was the greatest accomplishment of her life, her mini me, and her best friend. Wade, Christina, and Laurie's mother Blair, brought Laurie her deepest joy.

Laurie's story was not easy, but her life was marked by great resilience and a quiet strength. She lived life on her own terms, was as stubborn as she was loyal, and was a resilient survivor. No matter how many times she was down, you could never count her out, and her bold spirit will be deeply missed.

Laurie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Wade Warriner, her daughter Christina Warriner, and Christina's fiancé, Eric Hamilton, and her father Larry MacLean, and his wife Patsy MacLean. She also leaves behind countless friends who have become family. She is predeceased by her beloved mother Blair, who passed just 35 days before Laurie.

As per her wishes, her family is privately inviting loved ones to a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the New Hampshire Harm Reduction Coalition.

After I retired, I picked up a part time job at the Paper Store where I had the privilege of working with Laurie. What a wonderful person! She had a ready laugh, beautiful smile and was always willing to help customers and staff alike. I will cherish all of the laughs we had together. Heaven has gained an angel. She will be missed by many.
