Linda Morin
Concord, NH - Linda Lee (Artz) Morin, 60, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, after a short but fierce battle with cancer.
She was born in Exeter, NH, on May 8, 1964, to Richard Jr. and Alma (Dostie) Artz. Her family moved to Florida and then Connecticut before settling back in New Hampshire. She lived the rest of her life in the Concord area.
Linda is survived by Daniel Morin, her husband of 29 years. They were married on October 14, 1995, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord. They were blessed with two daughters, Sarah and Jaden. In addition, Linda is survived by her brother, Richard Artz; sister, Karen Artz; father-in-law, Gerard Morin; mother-in-law, Andrea Morin; sister-in-law, Angela (Morin) Cornell; brothers-in-law Brian Morin and James Cornell; and nieces/nephews Rebecca Ryan, Matthew Cornell, Julia Cornell, and James Ryan.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Richard Artz Jr. and her mother, Alma (Dostie) Artz.
Linda graduated from Staples High School (Westport, CT) in 1982 and then the Concord School of Nursing in 1988. She dedicated her career and profession as a nurse to Concord Hospital for 37 years. Linda found her special love for oncology nursing early on in her career. She was passionate about the care she provided to her patients and genuinely cared about each one of them. She was a charge nurse for many years, demonstrating the epitome of strength and grace under pressure. Linda's passion for oncology was so strong that she eventually became an oncology educator to ensure that every nurse had the skills needed to provide the same competent and compassionate care that she did. Her positive energy and love for life shone through in every interaction with patients and her colleagues. Linda left a remarkable legacy in the profession of nursing at Concord Hospital.
Linda loved the many family trips with Danny, Sarah and Jaden. Linda's happy place was any beach and a good book, but especially Long Sands Beach in York, ME and Fort Zach Beach in Key West, FL. Linda also enjoyed cooking, quilting, home decoration, and working in her flower gardens. In addition, Linda had a special fondness for the holidays and enjoyed hosting many gatherings with the entire Morin/Cornell crew.
On Linda's behalf, Danny, Sarah and Jaden would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the medical staff and care providers at Concord Hospital, Concord Pulmonary, Concord Cardiology, Concord Radiation Oncology and NH Oncology who provided us with remarkable care and kindness. We are blessed to be in your world.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 2-6 PM at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord. All are welcome.
