Mary Gaudette Obituary

Mary Ann Gaudette

Concord, NH - Mary Ann Gaudette passed away on May 24th, 2025. Mary was born in Groveton, New Hampshire to Joyce and Armand Gaudette and was raised on the bank of the Upper Ammonoosuc River. Mary matriculated from Groveton public schools and maintained lifelong friendships with her Groveton High School classmates. After graduating from Pierce College, she began her career in administration, ultimately becoming a part of the St. Paul's School family where she remained for decades. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in both the Alumni Office and Art Gallery and loved being around the bright and engaging students. A lover of fun, a good joke (shared with many via email), the Dollar Store, animals, and children, Mary was happiest with a slot machine handle in hand. Mary's favorite outings were when she and her friend Diane would travel to a casino for an afternoon of gambling and a good buffet lunch. Mary's neighbors have been a wonderful support system, and her family is grateful to them as well as the caregivers at Rest Assured Homecare for allowing Mary to remain at home as long as possible.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, brothers Arthur and Lloyd and nephew Brian. She is survived by her sisters in law Rochelle and Evelyn, niece Linda Shpilner (Marc), nephew Troy Gaudette (Danielle), several great nieces and nephews and many cousins throughout the United States and Canada.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 24th at noon at The Red Blazer Restaurant in Concord, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society or Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire.

I am so saddened by Mary's passing. We have been pals for near 60 years and were colleagues at St. Paul School. Mary was smart, generous, funny and ever so good natured. Mary was a pistol. Wonderful stories were told at her celebration of life, all in good humor, befitting her well lived life. My sincere condolences to all of Mary's family and her legion of friends. Be at peace, my friend.

Mary was one of the first people I met when I started working at St. Paul's School all those many years ago, and we had remained friends ever since. She always had a cheerful smile and was such fun to be around.

Mary and I had some good times while I was living in Concord many years ago. She had a great sense of humor and we loved spending time at Moody Beach in Maine. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
