Maureen Hoar Obituary

Maureen Hoar

Concord, NH - Maureen May Hoar (Moe) born Maureen May Doubleday on September 21, 1965, passed away Saturday, December 3,2022, at the age of 57, at the Granite Hospice House in Concord, NH.

Moe is survived by her two children, Samuel Hoar and Megan Jarosh, her niece Courtney Gernatt, her grandchildren Sawyer and Penelope Jarosh, her great niece and nephew Ellisea and Elliot Gernatt, and was predeceased by her sister Debbie Taylor.

Maureen was surrounded by loving friends that cared for her throughout her battle with cancer, to which her children are forever grateful. She passed away surrounded by love, light and an army of supporters.

A memorial visiting hour will be held on Monday, December 12th from 2 to 3 PM followed by a celebration of life at 3 PM at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main Street in Concord, NH.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Jimmy Fund in the spirit of Maureen's charitable and kind nature. Maureen was a true fighter, a gentle soul, and always put others first. The number of lives she touched is infinite, and to say she will be missed would be selling the effect she had on the lives of others extremely short. May she rest in peace.

Maureen is missed dearly each and every day. The year that has passed since she died has not been easy. Her hard work and dedication will be remembered always. I miss her positive and friendly personality. Im praying that her family is okay. May the Lord comfort them as they navigate the holidays.

I did not know Maureen well, but she had been a tireless supporter of my fiction books for over a decade and I hope it´s all right to leave a message despite being virtually a stranger. I realised I had not heard from her on my Facebook page for a while. I had taken a few years away from Facebook and writing, to be honest, but she often popped along to comment on my page, and I had not heard from her since my return in June 2023. I like to look out for my most valued, long-time readers, and after a little search, I found on here that she had passed away. My deepest condolences. I always valued her words of encouragement and felt so moved by her book reviews. I´ll remember her as someone who always took the time to offer encouraging and motivational words - so needed in the world. May she RIP. She will not be forgotten by this author.

Maureen was a colleague of mine for many years at Concord Hospital Laboratory, and I remember her with fondness as "salt of the Earth," my highest praise. Anyone would be so lucky to have her on their team. She was a dedicated, tireless, focused worker bee with an unmatched work ethic. She focused on the sunny side of life, and I never once witnessed any hint of sadness or despair, though she had many life challenges. I will forever remember her kindness, positive attitude, and cheerful disposition.
