Oh dear Lord, I only came across this heartbreaking news through FB. What a shock. :'( I have so many memories of Michael most especially because of my involvement with Sandcastle. He was a kind man, and will forever remain as such in my heart. God bless all of the Mark family. May the peace of Christ and all your memories console you. Lynn Madore (Szumiesz)

My condolences to Mike's family and close friends. My most vivid memories of him come from our involvement in theater. A few years older than me, he always projected a warm, friendly and humorous disposition that was a great inspiration during those challenging years of youth. He positively touched countless lives and will be missed.

My dearest brother and lifelong friend... my heart will NEVER be the same. Thank you for always loving me unconditionally, allowing me with such love & patience to tag along with your "cool older friends" when I was little, and then being one of my best friends in the world. I know I got frustrated when you still, as adults, treated me like a "little sister". I know now that it was your endless love and I wish I had realized that sooner. Laughter, sharing confidences, love of theater, mutual respect, deep faith, movies and tv shows; most recently The Chosen. But, most of all sharing your incredible son, my very special nephew, with me.Words will NEVER express my love for you and the massive hole in my heart. I am ETERNALLY grateful for my lifetime of memories with you. I will somehow keep going. Not only because taught me about that through your actions but because life is a gift. Day by Day & I will forever be By Your Side.

I knew Mike best in high school. He was a warm guy and very funny. Always smiling. It's not at all surprising to me that he touched so many people throughout his life with his good humor and kindness.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of Mike. We grew up together on the Heights in Concord. We had the best street with all of us kids hanging out. We shall meet again.

Where do I even begin....Mike & I met in the beginning of our Sophomore year at Saint Anselm college as roommates.
I never knew that our bond & friendship would become stronger as the years progressed. Despite our lives initially going in different directions, we continued to stay close. After having children of our own, we still remained great friends. We even found a way to connect with the kids, thereby allowing Mike´s son Colin and my boys, Adam & Aaron to become good friends also. As the boys were growing & changing, we always found a way to go on hikes or other outdoor excursions , together. I´d like Mike to know that our friendship meant the world to me & my kids...the kind of friendship that weathered all storms in either of our lives. Thank you for your big heart, sense of humor, & positive outlook on life. You will leave a big void in our lives, but I´m confident we will see each other again! Farewell my good buddy...I pray you & your awesome family finds peace throughout this devastating time.

Colin and the entire Mark family,
Such sweet memories I have of Mike and Sandcastle. Later I was lucky enough to be Colin´s teacher. Those conferences were more laughter than curriculum. Love and sympathy and always laughter that makes your stomach hurt.

Mike was so special to me. I loved him so much. He was so funny, so kind, so talented. Sandcastle was and is my second family, where I gained lifelong friends and created so many of my favorite memories. There is a huge hole in the world now.
