Norman Arpin Obituary

?Norman C Arpin of Spring Hill Florida passed away on February 12, 2021 shortly after his 85th birthday.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Harriette of 66 years, daughters Elise, Karen, Denise and Son-in-law Joe, grandchildren, Lauren, Rachael, Drew, Megan, Max and great grandson Cameron, sister Germaine and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Berlin NH to the late Camille and Jeannette Arpin and is also pre-deceased by half brother Dennis Arpin.

Norman played hockey and was an amazing goalie helping his team to win many state titles leading to college scholarship offers.

Norman would marry the love of his life at the tender age of 19 and start their family soon afterwards. He was very motivated as a young father and husband to give his family a good life which helped him to succeed in whatever he was determined to do. He started his career at John Hancock selling life insurance in Berlin NH. Norm received several promotions requiring relocation before accepting his position in Concord NH where he would lead his sales team to many local and presidential awards. He retired at the young age of 51 as a Regional Vice President.

He and Harriette enjoyed a long retirement in Florida spending time with old and new friends. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed travel, buying and selling cars, real estate, jewelry, as well as relaxing with his favorite music.

Family and friends will always remember Norm as someone who enjoyed entertaining and being around others. He was a wonderful role model to everyone that he knew as well as being a genuine, giving, loving person who always wanted the best for all.

The family will honor Norman with a small private ceremony at a future date.

My sincerest condolences to Harriette and your entire family. I have been in the insurance business almost 40 years and it was all because of Norm Arpin believing in me and offering me a job with John Hancock at the age of 23 fresh out of UNH. I remember being totally overwhelmed after 6 months on the job and was ready to quit. Norm asked me to hang in there 6 more months and see how I felt then - well that was 39 years ago and thanks to that advice - insurance has been my life and my career and allowed me to raise an incredible family and have a very blessed life.
Norm was such a man of class, style and character who loved his family and who I deeply respected and admired. I tell the above story often and I am so thankful for crossing paths with this incredible man.
God Bless you all,
Brett Houston

Dear Harriette and Family: So sorry to hear of my friend Normie's passing. I remember you both from the time you moved to 92 Pennsylvania Ave. , Manchester when Normie was first promoted to Regional Supervisor and drove that big copper colored Chrysler. We had many fun times together in Concord. Still remember the two of us being chased back to his car by a vicious dog. My sincere condolences. Rest in peace, TIGER.

Karen, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I remember him when I went to your house in high school. He was always friendly. It is tough losing a parent and my thoughts are with you.
