I was saddened to receive the news of Paula's death last week. I worked at In a Pinch for a few years in the 90's and found her to be kind, thoughtful, fun, and creative. After moving to VT, I didn't see much of her but on occassion I would be in Concord and usually stopped at Still in a Pinch for lunch (as it is the best sandwich/soup place in town) and she always would recognize me and take time to visit. She will be missed by many, myself included. My condolences to her family and many friends. She will not be forgotten!

So very saddened by the passing of a true sister. Paula not only made the best sandwiches in town. She had a way of making you feel important and would always greet you with a warm hug and smile. I am glad she was part of my life. She will be missed greatly and I am glad for all the memories I have of her. I will miss her smile and warm embrace. Ilene Malette,Concord

It is with a great deal of saddness that I learned of Paula's death. We meet a little over a year ago as a result of my relationship with Daisy (her cousin). I found Paula to be one of the most careing, understanding, and friendliest persons I have ever meet. She will be missed. My condolences.

Our condolences to Paula's family and friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere and goods of Paula's artful creations, In a Pinch and Still in a Pinch. Paula was always kind and friendly--even when battling illness--a very commendable feat. She will undoubtedly be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the Concord community. We are saddened by her death.

I had thepleasure of working with Paul at In a Pinch many years ago. She was always cheerful and so easy going and all the staff adored her. My condolences to her family, I know she will be missed.

Our sincere condolences to Paula's friends and family.
Paula was a great friend to our family and especially to my father who lived next to IN A PINCH on Pleasant Street. When she was living in the apartment above her bakery she would come and sit with him in his back yard and always shared "goodies" from In A Pinch with him and our family. She visited my Dad when he was in the nursing home and brought goodies to the nurses. Paula was the most wonderful friend and neighbor. She bought our old homestead (142 Pleasant St) and transformed it into apartments which she invited our family to come see after it was finished which meant the world to our family and my Aunt who was born in that residence. Paula will always be in our thoughts and prayers and we will always feel like she is part of our family. Love, Joe,Lynn LaBontee and family.
