Ralph Lucier Obituary

Ralph B. Lucier, Jr. born March 4, 1932, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving children on Wednesday, July, 18, 2018 at the Hospice House in Concord.

Born in Concord, he was the son of the late Ralph B. Lucier Sr. and Pansy M. (Waterson) Lucier. From the early age of 7, Ralph found his love of music and was a professional guitarist his whole life playing with many bands. He was a great musical influence to many.

Ralph honorably served dually in the Army and later in the Air Force during the Korean War. After serving for our country Ralph had a career as a stone cutter for 25 years at Swenson Granite Company, as well as working at Pitco Frialator. The brightest thing in Ralph's life were his children, and family. He was a lover of the White Mountains, and the beaches in Maine. Ralph took pride in growing the most beautiful red roses, he enjoyed woodworking, watching old old western and listening to music. He was a great animal lover especially of horses and dogs, leaving behind his loved dog "Baby".

Ralph is predeceased by his brother, Donald R. Lucier; his wife Ruth K. Lucier; and his former wife and mother of his six children, Rita M. Brouillard and grandsons Tyler Frost and Tristian Parker. His legacy lives on through his children; daughter, Cathy R. Dumas and her husband, Donald of Epsom; son, Thomas A. Lucier and partner, Michelle Green of Concord; daughter, Donna M. O'Dougherty and her fiancé, Jason Rich of Boscawen; son, Donald R. Lucier and partner, Paula Whitlock of Concord; daughter ,Patricia A. Pare and her husband, Raymond of Goffstown, and son Michael R. Lucier and wife, Christine of Concord; grandchildren Brandi, Kristy, April, Dena, Joshua, Lacey, Mathew, Katie, Billy, Dylan, Ethan and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marilyn Lucier of Boscawen.

At Ralph's request, there will be no calling hours or service. There will be a Military graveside ceremony set at a later date which the family will announce.

Tom and family - I had been traveling these past few weeks and just catching up on the newspapers. So sorry to read about Ralph. Although I hadn't seen him since the picnics several years, as you know, we worked together for many years at Pitco. Such a pleasant person, with a great sense of humor. I always enjoyed talking with him and catching up on things. Sorry this is so late. But sorry for your loss, and wanted you to know I am thinking of you and your family.

To Ralph's Family: My condolences to all. Sorry for the loss of your love one. I am happy that a few years back Ralph stopped to say HI, had a chance to chat. I knew him when he was Playing and singing with Duke and the Swingbillies. When they were on the radio stations of WMUR and WHEB. The years just pass and the loss of people that made my life growing up happy enjoying live country western music. RIP Ralph.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Ralph. My family (Donny, Roy, Raymond, and Ann Lassonde) was very close to Ralph and had music in common. Ralph played at my mother's house in Chichester for many years. He was so talented. He will be missed.
