Robert Hackney Obituary
Concord, NH - Robert J. Hackney, 88, of Chichester, died on April 15, 2025.
"Bob" was born in Camden, NJ, to the late George Hackney and Frances (Ball) Dutton. He attended high school in Haddonfield, NJ and served in the Army. In 1965 Bob moved to NH and was employed by Arwood Investment Castings. After marrying and moving to Chichester, he worked for Public Service of NH for 23 years. He was a lifetime member of the Chichester Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed updating the family home, his tractors, the outdoors, snowmobiling and hunting, and frequenting favorite restaurants with family and friends. The light in his life were his daughters and their families.
He is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Audrey (Lake) Hackney, grandson Maurice "Moe" Gerow III, and son-in-law, William "Bill" Lane. Surviving family include daughters, Pamela J. Gerow and husband Maurice; Pauline F. Nanjari and husband, Leonardo; and Theresa H. Lane; grandchildren: Stephanie, Danny, Lauren, Emily, Rachael; great-grandson, Seth, brother and sister-in-law, G. Kent and Bonnie Hackney of NJ, nephews Mark Hackney (Jeannie) and J Hackney, and niece Karyn Montgomery (Pat), great nieces and cousins.
Visiting hours: April 24th - 5:00PM to 7:30PM at Bennett Funeral Home (Concord, NH); graveside service: April 25th - 11:00AM at Pineground Cemetery (Chichester, NH).
Donations may be made to Granite VNA, Concord, NH.

To the entire Hackney family, so sorry to learn of your loss.. may all the wonderful memories of Bob from the past be a source of healing and comfort to you now during this difficult time. He and I would chat often when in contact - his smile and gracious greetings were the best!
