Roland Dube Obituary

Mr. Roland S. Dube, 60, of Main Street, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Born Oct. 23, 1954, in Manchester, Roland was the son of the late Sylvio and Aline (Ouellette) Dube Jr. He spent much of his life in Allenstown and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy.

He was a well-respected iron worker and a member of the Iron Workers Local 7. He is proud of his achievements and completed projects on the job site.

Roland loved listening to "the Blues" and outdoor activities, especially fishing and spending time on his boat. He also enjoyed small woodworking projects and taking care of his home. He found a new hobby in gardening later in life and took much pride in his flowers and vegetables.

Members of his family include his son, Jeffrey Dube of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his brother, Michael Dube of Allenstown; an aunt, Rita Miner of Pembroke; Lynn Dube of North Hampton, Patty Kent of Allenstown, cousins, and many friends.

Friends and family will gather to share memories Wednesday, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

In celebration of the angler in Roland, please consider donations to the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game or a similar organization in lieu of flowers.

Petit Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and offers an online guestbook at petitfuneralhome.com.

Sorry to hear that Roland passed. I remember when we teenagers all used to frequent the food stand near Chroniak's gas station across from the church. Those were the days...Goodbye my Allenstown neighbor...rest in peace...

I can still remember all the good times we had growing up, spending time with Meme and Pepe going to the beach and Bear Brook and having clam bakes at your house. Couldn't have asked for a better cousin. Will miss you lots. Our Meme, Pepe, my Mom (Aunt Dolly), and your parents have you in their loving arms now and will watch over you until we meet again.

Michael, I am so sorry for your loss.

Love and Godspeed, Ruthie
