Roslyn J Dias
Concord, NH - Roslyn J. (Halsall) Dias, 91, of Concord, NH passed away on October 24, 2025, at Hillsboro House Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
Roslyn was born on June 23, 1934, in East Providence, RI to Robert J. and Elizabeth (Doige) Halsall. She and her husband Ray Dias, to whom she was married for 68 years, raised their family in Rehoboth, MA until moving to Henniker in 1976. She was a homemaker while her children were growing up and later held assorted part time jobs which she enjoyed immensely.
She and Ray enjoyed traveling across the US and Canada and were particularly thrilled to be able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on the Island of Hawaii, achieving their goal of visiting all fifty states. They wintered in Florida for many years and enjoyed making friends and maintaining relationships which were long lasting. Roslyn had a passion for quilting and enjoyed sharing her talents with others. She liked spending time with family and friends, playing Bingo, Mexican Train Dominoes, shuffleboard, jigsaw puzzles and participating in club-house events.
In 2007 she and Ray moved to Concord where they were surrounded by many kind and caring friends and neighbors. Roslyn's final home has been Hillsboro House Nursing Home, where she received compassionate and thoughtful care.
Roslyn is survived by her loving family: Daughter Wanda Albernaz and her husband Mike of Rehoboth, MA; daughter Karleen Gouveia and her husband Albert of Rehoboth, MA; son, Scott Dias and his wife Cathy of Henniker; grandchildren Christine Albernaz, Albert Gouveia and his wife Lauren, Julie Heim and her husband Derek, and Jeffrey Gouveia and his wife Kristen and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Ray, who died in 2020, her brother Everett Halsall, sisters Roberta Chappell,
Phyllis Kirk, Beverly Lincoln, and Joyce Lake.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th in Henniker at the New
Cemetery (North side extension), on Old Concord Road at 11:OOam. There will be a
gathering immediately following the service at Duston Country Club, Hopkinton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations to White Birch Center for Active Living, 116 Main Street,
Henniker; NH 03242 in her name are welcomed by the family.
Bennett Funeral Home in Concord is entrusted with the arrangements.
