Timothy Locke Obituary

Timothy passed away unexpectedly at his home on the morning of January 26th, 2021. He was born in Concord NH on June 29, 1963 to Robert Eben and Patricia Jane Sherburne Locke.

Tim "Timmy" graduated from Concord High school in the 1981. During high school and after graduation, Tim held positions at Denauws and the Inland Lobster pool as a busboy and eventually head chef.

In 1986, he became a certified oil burner service technician with Dunbarton Fuel Service until 1996. During this time, he became a lieutenant of the Dunbarton Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue as an EMT and also became a part time police officer where he faithfully served for many years with his family and friends.

Timothy then moved up and became the Town of Dunbartons first full time police officer. Tim excelled in his position until March 6, 1997, when after the birth of his daughter Rachel, he survived a brain injury sustained when a tree fell on him in his cruiser during a windstorm. His family, friends and home town neighbors rallied around him and he continued on in Dunbarton until he left to become a full time officer in Bow, NH.

After his retirement, Tim worked in several other capacities as a driver for Johnson & Dix, a security officer with Allied Security, a stay at home Dad when his children were young, but most recently and lastly he worked at Bass Pro Shops in Hooksett at the gun sales counter.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman his entire life and followed in that family tradition of hunting and fishing, a love that he passed onto his children. His son Keith was chosen to be the first Hunt of a Lifetime recipient and those involved became a second family to both of them.

He was also a dedicated member of the NRA, the NWTF and SCI. He attended and enjoyed many banquets and fundraisers where he made many lifelong friends. He loved to be with his kids most of all and relished time spent outdoors with them at their camp in Clarksville, NH.

Tim will be remembered for his humor, dedication to his family and work, and his pride and compassion while serving his community. He and his children shared a very close bond that will never die.

Timothy is pre-deceased by his mother, Patricia Locke. He is survived by his beloved daughter and son, Rachel Beth Locke of New Boston, Keith Eben Locke of Weare and his father Robert Locke of Concord.

He also leaves behind his loving siblings and brothers in law. His older sister Susan and Bill Nichols and his younger sister Allison and John Swindlehurst, along with Tims nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his Uncle Gary Locke and Aunt Kay Culberson and many cousins.

Services will be postponed until the spring. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to NH Wildlife Federation Dream Hunts.
