Elizabeth Lytle Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Lytle, aged 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Bull Street in Savannah. Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Heinz Lytle and her son, Charles John Lytle. She is survived by her son, Chris and his family, her granddaughter Rebecca and her sister, Mary Susan Brinker Simons.

Ann was born on June 26th, 1939 in Greenville, Pennsylvania to John H. Frampton and Mary Thompson Frampton and was a graduate of Grove City College.

Ann will be fondly remembered as one who never met a stranger and each was special to her, especially those less fortunate. After losing her beloved "Chuckie", her best days were meeting almost anyone walking in downtown Savannah. Bravely leaving Pittsburgh not knowing a soul, Ann adopted Savannah as her new home. Her signature fashion style was known all over Pittsburgh, Chautauqua and Savannah.

Ann was a devoted mother and spent significant time and resources to impact mental illness treatment, in loving memory of her son Johnny, who was taken prematurely from his own fight with mental illness.

Ann loved her dear friends all over Savannah and she clearly touched many in multiple ways. These friends paid back this friendship to Ann with endless love by looking after her over the past year during her declining days.

The service will be held at her church, Wesley Monumental, located at 429 Abercorn Street, on Saturday, September 21 at 2pm. Gifts in loving memory of Ann can be given to Wesley Monumental UMC, Savannah, GA 31401.

Ms. Lytle will truly be missed. I'm going to miss seeing her smile, her fashion style, and miss hearing her tell me she loved me at the end of each conversation. I hate that you're gone be I will cherish all the memories of you in hopes it'll lessen the ache.

Very sad to hear this news. May she rest in peace. I have a beautiful antique bench in my foyer from her. She was always so kind.

Ann was my mother`s best friend. She met my mother not long after I was born in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. That´s a *long* time ago! Ann was unique! As I grew up, I very much admired her fashion sense, since I had none whatsoever! I found her to be outspoken, lovely, honest and funny. She was such a great friend to my mother-there for her through thick and thin, all throughout my life.
Ann had so many friends, I couldn´t keep track of them all! She could talk to *anyone.* She always made sure to tell me she loved me. I will miss her very much! Rest in peace. I love you too, Ann!
