Eric Winge Obituary

Eric Daniel Winge, 58, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away at his home September 11, 2024.

A native of Rome, Georgia, he was the son of the late Daniel Winge and Myra "Gail" Arnold Winge.

He leaves behind beautiful memories for his family to cherish. They describe him as a Christian man who was kind, selfless, giving, and well-liked by all who knew him.

Eric's life was filled with love and dedication. He worked at Zaxby's, where he was known for his hard work and commitment, until his retirement. But beyond his professional life, Eric found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, Addison and Matthew. They were the light of his life, and his face would light up whenever he spoke about them.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and camping. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and fulfillment in the simple joys of casting a line and waiting for a bite. These moments in nature were where he felt closest to God, appreciating the beauty of His creation.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony "Todd" Winge.

Surviving are son, Josh Winge (Savannah); grandchildren, Addison and Matthew Winge; sister, Stephanie Cowart (Timothy); and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
