Ruby Brace Bressler

Ruby passed away January 25, 2012 at 10:15 AM at home surrounded by her family. Ruby was a young 97 years old. She was born October 30, 1914 in Braggs, Oklahoma. She was raised by her grandparents. She married Alvin Brace in 1931 and they raised 5 children. Alvin passed away in 1967. Ruby was left to raise Margaret by herself. She worked at the Hacienda in Woodland for a time, and then decided to open A Rest Home and care for people in her home and do what she loved to do. In 1974 she married Ernie Bressler, they continued running the rest home together. Ernie passed away in 2001 and Ruby closed the rest home.
She is survived by her children Pauline Thompson, Bob Brace (Carroll), Fred Brace (Brenda) and Margaret Murray (Bill) and Step Children Wayne Bressler (Laura) and Delbert Bressler (Nancy) along with numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, great Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by husband Alvin Brace, husband Ernie Bressler, Daughter Catherine Straub, son in law Osburn Thompson and 4 grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 29th. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30th at McNary Moore Chapel with burial to follow at College city Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ruby's name to the Arbuckle Fire Dept or Yolo County Hospice.
