Donna Ramsey Obituary
PATASKALA: Donna Jean Ramsey, age 51, of Pataskala, passed away on October 18, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
She was born on July 4, 1966 in Zanesville.
Donna was a member of Rose Hill Church of Christ in Pataskala. She graduated from Riverview High School in 1984. Donna then earned her Bachelor's degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and then her Masters from The University of South Carolina.
She is survived by her loving parents, Donald and Kathryn (Zeager) Ramsey of Warsaw and an aunt, Ruth Nelson.
Donna was preceded in death by an uncle, Homer Ramsey.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 - 3:30PM at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM with Minister Victor Slutz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bladensburg.

I originally met Donna over the phone when I worked on the telephone exchange here in Melbourne when she came for a holiday / Brisbane commonwealth games in 1988 I believe. We continued to stay in contact through phone calls and letters. My husband and I visited Ohio in 1998 when Donna kindly spent a few days showing us around the area. We sporadically kept contact through the birth of my 4 children but I was so busy it was sometimes only Christmas cards. But it was that without fail every year. I have only just managed to find this information and I am in shock. To Donald and Kathryn, She was a warm and loving person even to an almost stranger. I pray that God's loving arms give you peace and comfort as you deal with your grief. Donna has gone home to our Father and some day you will be reunited as Jesus gathers us all in his presence. I am so sorry and shocked to hear this. I didn't know Donna personally but saw a memorial at work and wondered what had happened. We only passed in the hall and I so wish I would have made more of an effort to speak. Just goes to show - reach out - I looked up today and found this obit - then saw that we share a birthday... My condolences to her family and friends. I could tell she was a sweet person.

Don, Kateryn, this is a HUGE shock. Just seems like yesterday, I had the pleasure of working for you with Donna doing the correspondence. Donna was a truly devoted to you.
